Community Helper Curriculum Project

Dear Future Community Leaders and Helpers,

Over the next three weeks we will be learning about different types of community helpers.  We will learn about their jobs and why they are important!  You will get a chance to read books, watch movies and answer questions about what you have learned.  Community Helpers are super important and this is my favorite unit in Social Studies to teach!

Glogster

I am taking a technology class that encourages us to look at web 2.0 tools.  My tool is Glogster.  This is a great way to incorporate technology into your classroom.  Here is a glog that I made to be used in the kindergarten classroom.  You could do this as a whole group to introduce how it works and then you could have individual students use it during Daily 5.

Blogging?? I can do this!!

Hi, my name is Nicole Dein and this is my very first blog post. I am a 3rd year kindergarten teacher and I LOVE my job!  I am currently working on my Masters through Peru State College.  I created this blog for a class and I am excited to actually write a blog instead of always being the blog stalker:)
